Whitetail Institute Tall Tine Tubers Food Plot Mix
78997640003
Tall Tine Tubers includes a new turnip variety developed by the Whitetail Institute specifically for deer. This turnip variety was developed to be the most attractive turnip variety available and is available only in Whitetail Institute forage products. Tall Tine Tubers provides not one but two forage sources for late fall and winter. The first is its foliage which grows very quickly and becomes even sweeter with the frosts of fall. The second is the sweet tubers it produces which can grow as large as a softball and provide an additional food source for late fall and winter. It took six years for the Institute to develop the new turnip variety in Tall Tine Tubers. The process involved repeated cycles of planting cross-pollination evaluation of the resulting offspring harvesting seed from the best offspring and re-planting. Evaluation at each stage of development included planting offspring in plots available to wild free ranging deer and then closely monitoring them for deer usage. Only the most attractive offspring were kept. Tall Tine Tubers is also highly drought-resistant and extremely cold-tolerant. As a result of the Institute’s goal-oriented approach to new product development you can be sure that Tall Tine Tubers is designed to establish and grow quickly produce lots of tonnage and attract and hold deer during the fall and winter. Tall Tine Tubers is designed to be planted in late summer or fall. 3 lb. bag plants ½ acre.
